Kompalia is a country of Damta, it is a democratic republic. Modern Standard Sitr is the sole official language of Kompalia. The current president of Kompalia is Amsan Gaalin(rendered as Gaalin Amsan in the native form).

Kompalia is known for its long history of republicanism, and an avoidance of the use of national symbols other than the national motto, which is engraved on the national seal, because of religious reasons. In the past, most people in Kompalia believed in Paarism, and Paarism has a strong opposition to idolatry, and as a result, the Kompalian government does not use much symbolisms for the country or the government, and the national motto is officially the only national symbol.

Law[]

Interpersonal conflicts exist in all societies, conflicts are often destructive and can destabilize the society, therefore resolving conflicts is necessary for the stability of the society, and the fundamental function of the law is to resolve conflicts and to give rules regulating behaviour and regulating the use of resources.

Rights[]

For all stable societies, it is necessary and fundamental to guarantee the safety of all its members in the sense that virtually all members of the society, regardless of age, sex, gender, social status, etc. will live until the day they die naturally of inevitable causes of death, there's one of the few exceptionless rules in the human world and no societies that ever existed could break this rule, societies that have human sacrifice would be either highly unstable, or such practices would affect only a small minority of people or non-members. All laws or social rules that conflict with the need of this will inevitably be nullified within one or two generations, by either being outwardly abolished or by being highly distorted or ignored to the degree that such rules are practically ineffective, therefore, human rights are one of the central issues of all societies and countries in the world.

The law of Kompalia lists equal rights between all members of the society as a fundamental right. The discrimination against anyone based on sex and sex characteristics, gender identity, gender expression, generation, age, caste, criminal record, height, weight, physical appearance, disability, family status, genetic characteristics, marital status, nationality, profession, color, race and ethnicity, species, religion, sexual orientation, political ideology, social class, personality, as well as other categories are illegal in the law.

The main ethnic group of Kompalia is the Likepegs, or the Sitr people. There are more than 200 million people living in Kompalia.

Culture[]

Architecture[]

Wood is a common material in traditional vernacular Kompalian architecture. Most traditional houses are made of wood, in some areas, especially the northern areas, wooden houses exist in the form of log cabins; houses made of stone and clay also exist.

After the industrialization of Kompalia, some log cabins have the logs covered by siding, but not all cabins receive such coverings, the loggy look of some cabins are kept, sometimes intentionally.

Houses made of stones are traditionally seen as something fancier, initially stone was used for fortifications like ramparts and castles, but eventually people started building houses with stone, mainly wealthier ones.

Art[]

While Idolatry is condemned in Paarism, this does not stop Kompalia from developing visual arts. Kompalian visual arts feature naturalism, before the invention of camera, realistic looking depictions of people and objects were highly valued.

Cuisine[]

Traditional Kompalia dishes include sandwiches, fish and chips and steaks. Kompalia is not known for delicacies.

Sport[]

Symbols[]

The worship of icons is frowned upon due to the paarist doctrines, as a result, there are no official symbols of Kompalia.

Nonetheless, as symbolisms are universals of all cultures, the practice of using symbols to represent something still exists, and arts are a part of Kompalian culture, as stated above.

Notes[]

  1. Kompalia does not have an official language listed in the law, nor is there any written hints of an official language. Even the Court Act of Kompalia does not require the use of any specific language and states that "the court should use the mother tongue of the defendant, or a language that the defendant can understand well..."
